Statistics are only valuable, when they are trustworthy, comparable internationally, and timely.
The faster statistics are made public, the better the knowledge we have of society – a society in constant development. The times need numbers, and numbers must be there on time.
Introduction to Statistics Denmark
To realise Statistics Denmark's vision and mission all employees must, in addition to the values applying to the Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs, perform their work in accordance with two values. The two values are:
- We supply impartial and objective statistics to society.
- We cooperate internally and externally to achieve the best possible results.
ESS - European Statistical System
The ESS is the partnership between the Community statistical authority, which is the Commission (Eurostat), and the national statistical institutes (NSIs) and other national authorities responsible in each Member State for the development, production and dissemination of European statistics. This Partnership also includes the EEA and EFTA countries.
The ESS also coordinates its work with candidate countries, and at European level with other Commission services, agencies and the ECB and international organisations such as OECD, the UN, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
The News Feed gives access to the single memberstate's information.
